Development Producer – Factual

Gráinne is lead Development Producer on What Larks factual projects, having previously developed series and singles across arts, history and documentaries over 10 years at BBC Studios. Most recently, she developed two highly rated series for BBC Four’s Japan season: The Art of Japanese Life with James Fox and Handmade in Japan.

She also developed How to be a Surrealist with Philippa Perry (BBC 4); A Day in the Life of Andy Warhol (BBC 4); The Secret Life of Sue Townsend (BBC 2) and David Olusoga’s One Show strand ‘You Can’t Take it With You.’ (BBC 1) She has also worked across Documentaries Development and Arts Production, including developing and directing films for three years on BBC Two’s The Culture Show.

Gráinne’s passion is for making intelligent films that are as engaging as they are challenging and which make us think about our world. She is particularly interested in contemporary arts and history.
